Carolyn – Owner/Instructor
Carolyn started dancing at age 3 and has studied ballet, tap, jazz, belly dance and salsa. When she moved to Columbus after college, she searched for a new dance class and happened upon a pole studio. By the end of that first hour, she was hooked! She discovered that pole and exotic dance is not only a fantastic workout, it’s also a wonderful way to celebrate your sensual side and gain self-confidence. She has been teaching since 2009 and loves every moment spent with her students! Carolyn holds instructor certifications from
Xpert Pole Fitness, Liquid Motion, StripXpertease and TRX Training. Since 2013, she has served as Co-Chair of Pole Fitness at the Arnold Sports Festival and was selected to judge the PCS Pole Fitness National Championship in 2016 & 2017.
Sarah – Senior Instructor
From a young age, Sarah began her love affair with doing crazy tricks. Throughout elementary school, she practiced gymnastics, which was later translated into cheerleading during middle school, high school and college. In graduate school, she got tired of sitting around studying, and so she turned to pole dancing as a new form of exercise. After her first class, she was hooked! While she does value it as a form of exercise, Sarah feels that the true worth of pole dancing lies in helping women to understand their bodies and gain confidence in themselves – an important lesson that pole provided for Sarah herself. She is thrilled to be a part of the Studio Rouge community and to help other women discover what pole can do for them! Sarah is an Xpert Pole Fitness, elevatED Flexibility, Flow Movement and Spin City Aerial Hoop certified instructor.
Tam – Senior Instructor
On or off stage, Tam is always dancing. Her love affair with dance began as a young girl with ballet, tap, and jazz, and expanded into competitive Latin ballroom dancing in her high school and college years. After college, Tam wanted to continue learning and decided to try something she always wanted to explore…pole fitness! It was love at first spin. She enjoys the blend of artistry, athleticism, and sensuality that pole fitness can give any dancer. As a Women’s Studies minor at The Ohio State University (Go BUCKS!), she is excited to have the opportunity to help women learn just how amazing their minds and bodies really are. Tam is a certified Xpert Pole Fitness and Liquid Motion instructor.
Tracy – Associate Instructor
Tracy began her adventure with movement and dance in elementary school finding gymnastics. A competitive gymnast through high school, Tracy hung up her leotard in college, but felt something was missing from her life. Looking for adventure, she walked into a pole studio and left with a room full of new friends and a new passion. She loves the laughter, friendship, empowerment, and self-expression that can be found in any class at Studio Rouge. Plus it’s a great workout! Her favorite part of teaching pole and exotic dance is meeting some of the most amazing women in Ohio, helping them find their own exotic side, confidence, and strength – inner and outer!
Elizabeth – Associate Instructor
Elizabeth has had a need for movement since she was an infant. She began sporting her tutu in ballet, tap, and jazz as soon as she could enroll and that quickly led her to gymnastics and cheerleading, which she continued throughout high school. In college she stayed active amidst classes with running, yoga, and hip-hop, but she craved something more adventurous. A brave leap with a best friend landed her in her first intro to pole class and she’s been captivated ever since. Pole offers her the chance to express herself through movement, stay healthy, and meet some of the most empowering and supportive women in Columbus. Studio Rouge has given her a boost of confidence, strength, and an excuse to wear glitter, and she is so happy to call it home.
Gabrielle – Associate Instructor
Gabrielle joined the studio in 2014 to make friends and try something new. She’s since fallen in love with pole dance and aerial hoop. Pole and aerial hoop have consistently provided her with new challenges and new goals. She loves the confidence (and coordination!) she’s gained, as well as the immensely supportive friendships she’s made. Gabrielle is happy to be a part of the studio and is excited to have the chance to show women how strong and awesome they really are. She is a Flow Movement certified instructor.
